References to "we", "us" and "our" mean Digevo Limited. References to "you" mean anyone using the site.
What Calcbase is, and what it is not
Calcbase provides calculators that produce estimates from figures you enter and from published rates and thresholds. Every result is arithmetic.
Nothing on this site is financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a personal recommendation. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and we do not carry out any regulated activity.
No result takes account of your full circumstances. Lenders, HMRC, employers and providers apply their own rules and will reach different figures. Before making a financial decision you should speak to a suitably qualified professional.
Accuracy of rates and calculations
We take reasonable care to keep rates, bands and thresholds current, and we publish the figures used and the date they were last checked on every calculator page.
Rates change, sometimes at short notice, and published guidance is occasionally corrected after the fact. We do not warrant that any figure on the site is accurate, complete or current at the moment you use it.
Calculators simplify. Where a calculation omits a factor that could materially change the result, we say so on the page, but we cannot list every possible variation.
Using the site
You may use Calcbase for your own personal or business purposes, free of charge.
You may not scrape, copy or republish the site's content or calculators at scale, interfere with the site's operation or security, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
We do not require an account and we do not store the figures you enter. Calculations run in your browser.
Availability
We do not guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including individual calculators, without notice.
Our liability to you
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or any result it produces. That includes financial loss, loss of profits, and any decision taken on the basis of a calculation.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If you use the site as a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Links to other sites
Where we link to gov.uk, HMRC or any other external site, we do so for reference. We are not responsible for the content of those sites and a link is not an endorsement.
Where any page carries advertising or an affiliate link, it will be labelled as such. Advertising never changes the result a calculator produces.
Intellectual property
The design, wording, structure and code of Calcbase are the copyright of Digevo Limited and are protected by law. Rates, thresholds and statutory figures are public information and are not claimed as ours.
You may link to any page on the site. You may not reproduce substantial parts of it without our permission.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date it was last changed is shown at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
