Privacy policy
What Calcbase collects, what it does not, and what happens to anything you send us.
The short version
The calculators collect nothing. Every calculation runs in your browser and no figure you type is sent to us or stored anywhere.
The only personal information we hold is what you choose to send through the contact form.
We do not sell or share your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who is responsible
Digevo Limited (company number 16415485), registered in England and Wales, is the data controller for calcbase.co.uk. You can reach us at hello@calcbase.co.uk.
Using the calculators
Salaries, deposits, budgets and every other figure you enter stay in your browser. They are never transmitted to our server, never written to a database, and disappear when you close the tab.
There is no account, no login, and nothing to sign up for.
The contact form
If you write to us we collect your name and email address, plus whatever you put in the message, and for advertising enquiries your company name and website.
We use it for one thing: replying to you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically answering someone who has deliberately contacted us.
Messages arrive in our mailbox and a copy is written to a protected file on the server so nothing is lost if email fails. We delete both once the matter is closed, and in any case within 24 months.
The form uses a hidden field and a timing check to filter automated spam. Neither collects anything about you.
Cookies and tracking
Calcbase sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or analytics cookies.
Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner. If that ever changes, a banner will appear and this policy will be updated before it does.
Third parties
The site loads no third-party fonts, scripts, trackers or embeds. Typefaces are served from our own server, so no outside company sees your visit.
Our hosting is provided by Hostinger, which processes data on our behalf and keeps standard server logs.
Server logs
Our host keeps automatic access logs containing IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages and browser type. These exist for security and diagnosing faults, are not linked to any individual by us, and are retained on the host's standard schedule.
Where your information is held
Enquiry data is stored on servers within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it.
Write to hello@calcbase.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by phone on 0303 123 1113.
Children
Calcbase is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
